Why I like PayPerPost

I've been blogging for PayPerPost for a couple of months now. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. I can usually choose from a wide variety of topics & believe me, I have a lot of opinions. ;) I get paid anywhere from $5 to $12 for each sponsored post that I write. (There is the potential to make ALOT more, but I need to increase my Google Page Rank in order to claim those opportunities.) But blogging for PayPerPost is pretty easy & it's nice to have that steady $10 a day or so trickling in. One thing I really like about the site is that they pay out several times a month. If you're looking for a little money on the side, and you enjoy blogging, I do recommend checking out PayPerPost (and hey, there's a link to sign up over there on the right).

The Hundred Dollar Business

If you've ever wanted to start a business, but thought you lacked start up capital, there's a blog you need to read. The Hundred Dollar Business is the brain child of Carolynn Duncan, (formerly of Provo Labs Solutions fame) and is an amazing lesson in entrepreneurism. Carolynn decided to see whether she could start a business with only $100. Don't laugh, just take a minute and read the way things are coming together for this crew. Carolynn seems to have a way of making things happen almost out of thin air.

I bought a miniature Bundt cake today, based on Carolynn's recommendation on her blog, and I have to tell you it was just as good as she makes it sound.

MyLot

MyLot is a social networking site, similar to MySpace. (I'm not actually a member of MySpace but I think I understand how it works.) MyLot boasts a membership of over 40,000 and it's fairly easy to find topics of interest and make friends. The thing about MyLot that drew my attention was that they will pay you to post. How much they pay is somewhat unclear, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I've been a member for a couple of days and made approximately 50 posts. I think the site updates every 24 hours, so I'll log in tomorrow and see how much money I've made.

Link Experiment

I've been reading about Link Experiment. I think this is a great idea for a few reasons. The basic idea is that you "bid" with the amount that you are willing to pay to have your link posted on the website. As the bid goes up and up, the links with lower bids will drop off the page.

I'm eager to put a link up and see what happens, but with $31.51 being the cheapest link I'm going to hold off a bit. It may be cheap advertising but right now the site isn't generating any revenue.
